Et que ce premier double-album de l'italo-irlandais David J. Caron, "THRU EVER-ENDING BLACK", monumental de par sa durée et son ambition artistique (28 morceaux lustrés au polish AOR, Pop, Rock, Prog du plus bel effet enregistrés en 18 mois) deviendrait alors le "Thriller" (ou le Double-Blanc) de notre musique ensoleillée tant adorée.
Auteur, compositeur, interprète, producteur ce génial touche à tout sait vous caresser dans le sens du poil avec des compositions lumineuses et évidentes (la tierce d'ouverture "It Gathers", Look Out " et " Time Machine", tubes imparables mais sait aussi durcir le ton quand il décide de s'autoriser une petite pointe à 280 km/h avec le très jouissif "Comin' To Get You", aux solis assassins et aux claviers virevoltants) et jamais n'ennuie (on trouve ce même tempérament volontaire chez Hal Marabel des Bad Habit).
Tout se déroule comme l'asphalte brûlant léché par une flamboyante Lamborghini ("Feels Of Fire", parfait single et le cuir dans lequel tu te loves alors te réchauffe le coeur...), tout coule de source, cette majesté mélodique sublimée par un timbre de voix sexy en diable, qui délivre des textes et refrains puissants, accompagnera pour longtemps vos meilleurs moments de vie, tant ce positivisme affiché sait être communicatif (et Dieu sait qu'en ces temps moroses personne n'a besoin d'un nouveau Cobain neurasthénique...).
Ce Rock n' Roll est unique, innovant, fédérateur et moderne (la production est co-assurée par le talentueux Rob Mancini, auteur aussi d'un magnifique album de AOR de haute volée il y a quelques mois, "Rock n' Roll Circus", rien d'étonnant donc que ces deux artistes construisent le magnifique édifice conjointement), sautillant ("Too Much Little Time" et " Who Are You" aux fondations ska), scintillant dans tes lunettes de soleil Tom Ford, aerien et affuté comme Batman, sur le green ou le bitume, dans les sables blancs de la Voie Lactée ou sur le ponton d'un superyacht Troyanda, ces sons sont rayons de soleil, ce groove est ce que les Beach Boys auraient révé d'oser avec davantage d'électricité dans les peavey, ce Rock bodybuildé t´ élêvera, te feras sentir vivant, et même mieux : te fera resplendir.
Ce dense album aux cordes évoquant ici et là le meilleur d'un Chris Réa ou d'un Knopfler offira aux plus gourmands tout ce que l'on est censé esperer d'un artiste : sa véritable moelle, sa profonde substance. Et sans le moindre doute, David J. Caron a tout donné, sa force, ses doutes, son histoire, ses attentes et ses rêves, ses failures et victoires, en bref son humanité ("Wall Of Life ", "Let There Be Light", "Has To Be" et le evanescent mid-tempo" The Tree That Waits" sont en ce sens éloquent, et déchirant).
"This Is Now" concluera l'oeuvre et laissera l'auditeur en pleurs.
Car sachez-le, la beauté, quand la Fleur d'âme puise son essence dans le terreau du coeur, la véritable beauté est assassine.
Premier album mais déjà définitif, Alpha & Oméga d'un genre musical toujours vivace, surprenant, magique dans sa propension à faire naitre les meilleurs sentiments du tréfond de l'âme humaine, a sublimer le quotidien, a rendre l'esperance d'un meilleur à venir tangible, saluons ici la naissance d'un nouvel artiste majeur, qui sans le savoir, grâce à une sincerité non feinte et une vision dégagée vient d'améliorer le rythme cardiaque musical du monde , pour le meilleur.
